In my view the source of this cut-down was the date stamp prepared for WEREID Telephone Office, which opened on 25 June 1927, and closed on 30 June 1934. There are no recorded sightings of a date stamp from this office and it may not have been issued for its primary purpose. There are no possible alternative sources from known offices.
