Engraved by Sydney firm, Miller & Davis these were the first specific relief date-stamps produced for use in New South Wales. They were reportedly manufactured in 1914, although I have seen an example on 1d roo bearing date 1913. They were in use for approximately 15 years.
Inscribed POST OFFICE at top N.S.W No 1 at base. 'O' in No is oval shaped.
